A house with 240 m² (2,583 sq ft) of built area on a 400 m² (4,306 sq ft) lot, inside a gated community in Praia do Forte, Bahia, 80 metres from the sand and close enough to hear the waves.

The living room is laid out as two areas, for sitting and dining, and opens onto an open kitchen. There is also a powder room and a large pantry.

There are 4 en-suite bedrooms. The 2 on the ground floor have fitted wardrobes and their own verandas, with doors onto the veranda, and their inner doors close them off from the main body of the house when needed. The 2 upstairs have closets and verandas, with a landing between them. A fifth en-suite bedroom can easily be added on the ground floor by moving one wall.

The house has 5 verandas, 3 downstairs and 2 upstairs. Every bedroom, the kitchen, the pantry and the powder room have a concrete slab ceiling beneath the roof, and the bathrooms and the two upstairs closets have plaster ceilings. The roof is brand new, including all of its timber.

Outside, the pool has an outdoor shower and a large anti-slip porcelain deck in a bamboo tone, alongside a jacuzzi with underwater lighting and an artistic mosaic panel, and a barbecue. LED lighting runs throughout the house and the grounds, with the wiring underground.

The service area has an underground water tank holding 10,000 litres, an artesian well for the garden and outdoor areas, a pump room, and a staff bedroom and bathroom.

The gated community is heavily wooded, with tree-lined lanes for residents to walk. It borders the ocean on one side and the main village on the other, a clear lagoon runs through it to the sea, and the Tivoli resort sits next door. Security runs around the clock, with four gatehouses, cameras and patrols.

Praia do Forte village is a charming and much visited destination, with international restaurants, designer shops and local crafts.
